Temporary Removal & In Transit

TEMPORARY REMOVAL & IN TRANSIT #

Except where otherwise provided, each sum insured with the exception of stock extends to cover the property to which it applies :

1. whilst temporarily removed to any other part of the insured’s location;
2. whilst temporarily removed to any other premises provided that, if as a result of the removal there is another party with responsibility to the insured for damage by fire or any other contingency hereby insured against to the property, liability under this policy shall be limited to the amount which the insured is unable to recover from such other party in respect of such damage;
3. in transit by road, rail, air or sea;

between points within the territorial limits.

The amount recoverable under this extension, in the event of damage shall not exceed the amount which would have been recoverable had the damage occurred in that part of the premises from which the property is temporarily removed.

Note :  this clause does not cover stock whilst in transit, including temporary storage during such transit, between difference locations other than difference locations within the same site.
